Guangxi Media's Wang Changtian calls for: readjusting the distribution of benefits to allow producers to gain more benefits.
At the opening forum of the 27th Shanghai International Film Festival held on June 15th, Wang Changtian, Chairman of Enlight Media, believed that the current profit-sharing ratio in the Chinese film industry is not favorable to the producers. He called for a readjustment of the profit distribution relationship to allow producers to receive more benefits and tilt the benefits towards them. Wang Changtian gave an example: under the current profit-sharing model, out of 100 yuan in box office revenue, after deducting distribution costs, investors and producers may only receive 33 yuan, which is insufficient to sustain the industry's basic investment.
