Iraq declares extension of airspace closure.

The Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority issued a statement on the 14th saying that due to the tense regional situation, in order to ensure the safety of civil aviation in its airspace, it has decided to further extend the closure of its airspace. The statement said that the closure of Iraqi airspace to all inbound and outbound flights will be extended until 19:00 local time on the 14th. The exception is the Basra International Airport located in the south of Iraq, which only allows flights to take off and land during daylight hours.
