Last week, President Trump of the United States openly clashed with former head of the Department of Efficiency and American entrepreneur Elon Musk. However, Musk posted on social media on June 11th local time, saying that he "regrets some of the posts about Trump last week, those words were too harsh." Musk also deleted some of his previous posts, including retweets supporting Trump's impeachment. Trump later told the New York Post, "I think what he did was good." At the White House press conference on that day, White House press secretary Levitt also said in response to relevant questions that Trump "appreciates Musk's apology statement." Levitt also said that to her knowledge, the Trump administration has not yet begun to review government contracts held by Musk's companies. According to a White House source, Musk had already called Trump on June 9th. In an interview aired on the podcast "Podcast One" on June 11th, Trump said he "doesn't blame Musk" and believes the two can reconcile.
