By the end of the year, all third-level public hospitals in Shandong will provide free accompaniment care services.

Recently, the Health Commission of Shandong Province, together with the Provincial Department of Education, the Provincial Department of Finance, and 6 other departments, issued the "Work Plan for Free Accompaniment Care Services in Medical Institutions in Shandong Province", to standardize the development of free accompaniment care services in medical institutions and further improve the patient's experience. According to the "Work Plan", by the end of 2025, all public tertiary medical institutions in Shandong Province will be able to provide free accompaniment care services to hospitalized patients in need, and encourage eligible public secondary medical institutions to actively explore and promote this service. The goal is to ensure that by the end of 2027, all public medical institutions above the secondary level in the province will be able to provide free accompaniment care services to hospitalized patients in need, significantly improving the patient's experience and satisfaction.
