Savills: Maintaining the forecast of around 60,000 residential transactions in Hong Kong for the whole year.
Paul Guo, Executive Director of Valuation and Consultancy Services at Savills Hong Kong, stated that in May 2025, the monthly transaction volume fell by 10.3% to 5105 units. Despite the slight decline, the transaction volume has remained at a relatively high level of over 5000 units for three consecutive months, the first time since the downward trend in the property market in 2021. Looking at the current situation of the property market, the organization expects this trend to continue, showing a steady increase in transaction volume, reflecting the gradually recovering confidence of buyers in the Hong Kong property market. The organization maintains its forecast of around 60,000 residential transactions for the whole year.
