In May, remittances to Bangladesh increased by 32% compared to the same period last year.

According to data released by the Central Bank of Bangladesh on Sunday, remittances sent by overseas expatriates to the country in May increased from 22.5 billion US dollars in the same period last year to 29.7 billion US dollars. In the first 11 months of this fiscal year, remittances increased by 28.7% compared to the previous year, reaching 275.1 billion US dollars.
