The Latvian Food and Veterinary Service recently announced in a news release that the country's first case of highly pathogenic avian influenza in poultry was found at a chicken farm in Ogre region. The authorities have taken relevant control measures and initiated an epidemiological investigation at the site. According to local media reports, as of May 31, three contacts have been identified, and there have been no reports of any symptoms of the disease.
