On May 31, the Chinese People's Liberation Army Southern Theater Command organized troops to conduct a combat readiness patrol in the territorial waters and airspace of China's Huangyan Island and surrounding areas. Since May, the theater command has continued to strengthen the patrol and vigilance of sea and air forces around the territorial waters of Huangyan Island, further enhancing the control of relevant sea and air areas, resolutely defending national sovereignty and security, and firmly safeguarding peace and stability in the South China Sea region.
