On the occasion of World No Tobacco Day on May 31, the World Health Organization released its latest report "Flavored additives in tobacco products enhance attractiveness and temptation," calling on governments around the world to urgently ban the use of any flavorings in tobacco and nicotine products to protect young people from the effects of addiction and disease. The report points out that flavor additives such as menthol, bubblegum, and cotton candy mask the harshness of tobacco products, turning toxic products into bait to attract young people. These flavored products not only increase the difficulty of quitting smoking, but are also closely associated with serious lung diseases.
