Boeing CEO Kelly Ortberg stated in an interview that launching a new model to replace the best-selling Boeing 737 Max is not a top priority. He said that the market is not yet ready for a new model and added that Boeing is currently unable to financially support the development of a new aircraft. Ortberg said Boeing is working with the Trump administration and revealed that Boeing pays less than $500 million a year for the American imported components needed for manufacturing products. Ortberg also said he still believes that geopolitical tensions will not delay Boeing's "return to profitability year."
