Dominican media published negative reports regarding Chinese businesses, Chinese ambassador: Should not generalize issues related to a minority of Chinese businessmen.

In response to recent negative reports about Chinese businesses in the Dominican Republic by some media outlets, Chinese Ambassador to the Dominican Republic Chen Runing wrote a letter to the editor-in-chief of the largest newspaper, Listin Diario, pointing out that the reports have overlooked the contributions made by Chinese businesses in the country, and generalized the problems of a few non-compliant Chinese businesses to all Chinese businesses, leading to bias and unfairness. He emphasized that the legal and legitimate rights and image of Chinese businesses should be protected and should not be labeled with discriminatory terms.
