The cross-border waterway route between Macau and Zhuhai has implemented a non-stop electronic toll collection system.

The Macao Inner Harbour to and from Zhuhai Wanzai waterway passenger transportation route started to use the contactless access system on June 1st, allowing passengers to enter directly by facial recognition. It has become the first cross-border waterway passenger transportation route in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area to achieve "contactless access". According to reports, passengers only need to complete real-name authentication once through the "Macao Guangdong Shipping" WeChat official account, and they can directly scan their faces to pass quickly when taking this route, without the need for physical tickets or manual verification, greatly improving customs clearance time and efficiency. At the same time, in response to the practical needs of Macao students and elderly people who frequently travel between Zhuhai and Macao, Guangdong Shipping has launched exclusive ticket discounts such as student cards and elderly cards, as well as monthly, quarterly, annual, and one-time multi-type tickets to meet the water travel needs of different passengers, further benefiting people's livelihoods and promoting regional coordinated development between Zhuhai and Macao.
