According to the interface financial APP, the U.S. investment-grade corporate bond market is welcoming the most active May issuance window since 2020. Against the backdrop of temporary relief in tariff policy uncertainty, companies are accelerating their pace of financing, and this trend is expected to continue into June. Data shows that on May 29, Eastern Time, alone, 6 companies completed bond issuances totaling $4.9 billion, pushing the total financing for the month to around $153 billion, the highest monthly financing amount since May 2020 ($243 billion). Of note, 2020 saw the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic, with the Federal Reserve urgently cutting interest rates to stimulate the economy, resulting in a record-breaking amount of investment-grade bond issuances for that month.
