Fund managers worry about the new US tax law affecting the attractiveness of American investments.
European fund company Allianz Global Investors fund manager Alex Bibani believes that the tax reform and spending bill recently passed by the US House of Representatives cancels the clean energy funding previously approved in 2022, which will exacerbate investors' concerns about the uncertainty of US government policy. Bibani pointed out that some investors supported certain US infrastructure projects in response to the clean energy funding program in the 2022 "Inflation Reduction Act", but the tax reform and spending bill canceled these subsidies. If this becomes reality, it will impact investors' evaluations of project returns, forcing them to reassess the US investment environment and no longer consider it a reliable investment destination.
