Minister of Transport Liu Wei meets with the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure of Turkey.

On May 23, Minister of Transport Liu Wei met with Turkish Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Abdullah Karidil Uraloglu in Beijing, and exchanged in-depth views on issues of common concern. Turkish Deputy Minister of Transport and Infrastructure Enver Iskut and Omer Fatih Sayan were also present at the meeting. Liu Wei welcomed Abdullah Karidil Uraloglu and his delegation, stating that cooperation in the field of transportation has always been an important part of the friendly relations between China and Turkey, with a solid foundation and broad prospects. He expressed hope for continued strengthening of communication and exchanges, conducting high-level policy dialogues and deep technological exchanges between government departments, research institutions, and industry enterprises in key areas, in order to comprehensively enhance the existing level and scope of cooperation. China is willing to work together with Turkey to establish a joint working group on transportation as soon as possible, further deepen practical cooperation in international road transportation, green shipping corridors, and other areas, and elevate transportation cooperation between the two countries to a new level. Abdullah Karidil Uraloglu expressed gratitude for the support and assistance provided by the Chinese Ministry of Transport, and expressed willingness to establish closer ties with China, actively promote solutions to encountered difficulties, tap into cooperation potential, expand cooperation fields, and achieve more mutually beneficial cooperation results.
