New York gold futures rose by 5.4% this week, while the Philadelphia Gold and Silver Index rose by 7.7%
On Friday, the New York closing price of spot gold rose by 1.93% to $3358.03 per ounce, with a total increase of 4.83% for the week. COMEX gold futures rose by 1.94% to $3358.60 per ounce, with a weekly increase of 5.40%, and the August contract also saw a cumulative increase of 4.96%. The Philadelphia Gold and Silver Index closed up by 2.31% at 192.10 points, with a weekly increase of 7.71%. Spot silver rose by 1.30% to $33.4875 per ounce, with a weekly increase of 3.70%. COMEX silver futures rose by 1.27% to $33.640 per ounce, with a weekly increase of 4.02%. COMEX copper futures rose by 3.92% to $4.8630 per pound, continuing to rise after Trump threatened to impose a 50% tariff on the European Union, with a weekly increase of 5.97%. Trump's tariff threat against the EU broke the previous week's trend of narrow fluctuations and showed a sustained upward trend.
