The central government has allocated 1.4 billion yuan in agricultural disaster prevention and relief funds to support local disease and pest control efforts.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the Ministry of Finance recently issued 1.4 billion yuan in central government funds for agricultural production disaster prevention and relief, supporting 30 provinces including Heilongjiang, Jiangsu, Anhui, Henan, and the Beidahuang Farming Group in carrying out major crop pest control and related work. Key aspects of central government funding include providing appropriate subsidies to local governments for the purchase of pesticides, medical equipment, and services for unified prevention and control operations, as well as timely guidance to strengthen monitoring and early warning systems, take effective measures, and carry out pest control work for wheat, rice, corn, agricultural pests, and red fire ants, reducing the harm caused by major crop pests to agricultural production, and providing strong support for ensuring a bumper harvest of grain throughout the year.
