The first world-class agricultural cultural heritage project in the field of aquaculture in China is born.

On May 19th, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations officially announced the new list of global important agricultural cultural heritage projects for 2025. The freshwater pearl compound aquaculture system in Deqing, Zhejiang, was successfully selected, becoming China's first world-class agricultural cultural heritage project in the aquaculture sector. As of now, China's number of global important agricultural cultural heritage projects has increased to 25, retaining the top spot in the world. Among them, Zhejiang has 6 projects, ranking first in the country.
