On May 21st, at the Computex 2025 conference in Taipei, NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang stated that the US export controls on Chinese artificial intelligence chips have failed. He said, "The facts prove that the basic assumptions on which the initial artificial intelligence diffusion rules were established have fundamental flaws." Huang Renxun claimed that NVIDIA's market share in China has dropped from 95% during the early days of former US President Biden's administration to the current 50%.
