National Energy Administration: The national electricity consumption in April 2025 increased by 4.7% year-on-year.

According to the Securities Times app, on May 20, the National Energy Administration released data on electricity consumption for the entire society in April. In April, the total electricity consumption was 772.1 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 4.7% compared to the same period last year. In terms of electricity consumption by industry, the electricity consumption in the primary industry was 11 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 13.8% year-on-year; the electricity consumption in the secondary industry was 528.5 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 3.0% year-on-year; the electricity consumption in the tertiary industry was 139 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 9.0% year-on-year; and the electricity consumption for urban and rural residents' daily life was 93.6 billion kilowatt-hours, an increase of 7.0% year-on-year.
