On May 20, Qin Haixiang, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development, stated at a press conference of the State Council Information Office that in recent years, the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development has guided various regions to solidly promote the renovation of old and small neighborhoods in urban areas. By the end of 2024, a total of 280,000 old neighborhoods will have been renovated nationwide, benefiting 48 million households and over 120 million people.
