Sichuan: The added value of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 7.1% year-on-year from January to April.

On May 20, the Sichuan Bureau of Statistics official WeChat account released the data of the province's main economic indicators from January to April 2025. The value-added of industrial enterprises above designated size increased by 7.1% year-on-year, with a product sales rate of 94.6%. By industry, out of 41 major industries, 35 industries saw an increase in value-added. Specifically, the value-added of the automotive manufacturing industry increased by 22.3%, the production of chemical raw materials and chemical products increased by 20%, and the production of computers, communications, and other electronic equipment increased by 15.0%. Looking at the production of major industrial products, natural gas production increased by 9.4% year-on-year, electricity generation increased by 4.1%, smart watches increased by 92.7%, generator sets increased by 73.1%, lithium-ion batteries increased by 66.7%, and automobiles increased by 35.6%.
