Recently, the Guangzhou Intellectual Property Court made a final judgment on the dispute between the China Music Copyright Association and Guangzhou Huya Information Technology Co., Ltd. over the infringement of the information network transmission rights of music works: the first-instance judgment found the facts clear, correctly applied the law, rejected Huya's appeal, and upheld the original judgment. In this case, the first-instance court found that Huya had used eight music works managed by the Music Copyright Association on its network live broadcasting platform without permission, infringing the Association's information network transmission rights to the songs in question, and ordered Huya to pay RMB 22,000 in compensation to the Association for the infringement.
