The Water Resources Department of Guangxi Province has initiated a level four emergency response for flood defense.

According to the news from the Water Resources Department of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, the heavy rainfall weather process in Guangxi will continue, with overlapping rainfall areas leading to high disaster risks. Due to the locally strong and sudden nature of the current rainfall process, it is difficult to predict the rainfall areas, leading to high risks of floods and flash floods. In accordance with the flood defense work plan of the Water Resources Department of the Autonomous Region, it has been decided after consultation that the level four emergency response for flood defense will be initiated from 9:00 on May 19th.
