The team at the Biomedical Research Institute in Barcelona, Spain has developed an innovative computational framework called DiffInvex, which can track the transformation of healthy cells into tumors, as well as the genetic evolution pressure of tumors during chemotherapy. DiffInvex has been applied to over 11,000 samples, covering genomic data from approximately 30 different types of human cancers and healthy tissues, successfully identifying pathways that lead to tumors resisting treatment and pinpointing which genes may trigger drug resistance. The research results have been published in the latest issue of the journal "Nature Communications".
