Recently, it was circulated on the internet that a primary school teacher in Ruian, Zhejiang, was accused of beating a 10-year-old student and holding him at a window on the third floor, threatening to throw him down. This incident has attracted attention. In the early hours of May 18th, the Education Bureau of Ruian City, Zhejiang, issued a situation report: on the morning of May 17th, a video of a teacher named Lin from Mayu Town Central Primary School disciplining a student was circulated online. Upon learning of the situation, our bureau quickly organized an investigation. Upon investigation, it was found that the issues reflected in the video were true. In the afternoon of April 17th, during a math enrichment class, a student named Chen sprayed water on teacher Lin's face with a water gun. Teacher Lin then subjected the student to improper discipline and threatened the student's personal safety. Our bureau has handled this matter seriously, giving Lin a disciplinary warning and conducting a talk with the school principal. In addition, the police have launched an investigation and have subjected Lin to administrative detention.
