Xiao Jianliang, New Development Bank: Digital technology is a "double-edged sword."

On May 17th, Xiao Jianliang, Chief Expert of the Environment and Social Governance Bureau of the New Development Bank, stated at the 13th SIIFC International Symposium that digital technology is a "double-edged sword". It is the engine driving social progress, improving productivity, promoting sharing, and enhancing quality of life; however, it also presents many environmental and social impacts and risks.
