On May 17th, the Brain-Computer Interface Clinical and Translational Ward was established at Beijing Temple of Heaven Hospital. This ward, jointly built by Temple of Heaven Hospital and several domestic research institutions, is the first ward in China to apply brain-computer interface technology in clinical settings. In the future, the ward will conduct research and clinical trials to provide innovative treatment for patients with neurological diseases such as hemiplegia. At the inauguration ceremony, Temple of Heaven Hospital showcased various advanced brain-computer interface devices. Among them, the non-invasive EEG cap device was particularly eye-catching, allowing patients to control the movement of a cursor or trigger electrical stimulation through "thought", thereby controlling external devices. On the other side, the intelligent rehabilitation system can monitor the patient's brain electrical signals in real time, providing precise guidance for functional recovery training. The ward will create an integrated brain-computer interface technology platform through various advanced devices and technologies, achieving assessment, regulation, training, improvement, and recovery of patients' fine motor functions and quality of life.
