The joint Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao government organized economic and trade cooperation exchange to promote the opportunities in the Greater Bay Area to the European business community.
Guangdong Province Governor Wang Weizhong, Director of the Constitutional and Mainland Affairs Bureau of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government Tsang Kwok-wai, and Chairman of the Macao Special Administrative Region Promotion and Investment Facilitation Bureau Yu Yusheng, together with officials and representatives from the three regions of Guangdong, Hong Kong, and Macao, attended the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area-Europe Economic and Trade Cooperation Exchange Conference" held in Budapest, Hungary on May 16. During the exchange conference, 36 cross-border cooperation projects were signed. Among them, digital payment service providers from Macao and Hungary jointly signed a memorandum of understanding on bilateral retail interoperable digital gateway ecosystem cooperation, promoting the construction of cross-border payments between the two regions.
