In 2025, a joint restocking and release of fishing resources in the Beibu Gulf between China and Vietnam was held at the mouth of the Beilun River in Dongxing City, Guangxi. A total of approximately 74.77 million aquatic organisms were released into the Beibu Gulf. The released species included yellowfin seabream, red seabream, black seabream, red-finned grouper, leopard coral trout, Chinese horseshoe crab, horse conch, Japanese prawn, long-haired prawn, and blue swimming crab, totaling 10 varieties of aquatic organisms and their parent organisms.
