The Central Meteorological Observatory continued to issue a blue alert for strong winds at 6:00 on May 17. It is expected that from 08:00 on May 17 to 08:00 on May 18, there will be winds of 5-6 levels in the central and eastern parts of Inner Mongolia, most parts of Hebei, Beijing, Tianjin, the central and western parts of Liaoning, Shandong, the northern parts of Henan, the northern parts of Anhui, the western parts of Gansu, and the eastern parts of Xinjiang, with gusts of 7-8 levels. In some areas, such as the northern part of Hebei, the western part of Liaoning, and the eastern part of Tianjin, there will be winds of 7-8 levels with gusts of 9-10 levels; the Bohai Sea, the Bohai Strait, the northern and central parts of the Yellow Sea will also experience winds of 7-8 levels with gusts of 9-10 levels.
The Central Meteorological Observatory continued to issue a yellow alert for thick fog at 6:00 on May 17. It is expected that from the morning to noon on the 17th, there will be thick fog with visibility less than 1 kilometer in the western waters of the East China Sea, the coastal waters of eastern Jiangsu, the coastal waters of Zhejiang, the mouth of the Yangtze River, the waters near Hangzhou Bay, the waters near the Zhoushan Islands, Shanghai Port, and Ningbo Port. In addition, there will be fog in some areas of eastern Shandong, southern and central Jiangsu, northern and eastern Zhejiang, southeastern Anhui, central and northern Jiangxi, central Hunan, northern Guizhou, and southern Chongqing, with some areas experiencing strong dense fog with visibility less than 200 meters.
