The "Guiding Opinions of the Shanghai Municipal Communications Administration on Promoting the High-Quality Development of Basic Telecom Enterprises in this City," issued on May 16, explicitly stated that the Shanghai Municipal Communications Administration will promote seven areas and 20 measures to contribute the "Shanghai Plan" to consolidate and enhance the competitive advantage and leading position of the information and communication industry. The "Opinions" propose that by 2027, more than 120,000 5G base stations will be deployed, with over 30,000 5G-A base stations, and over 99% of 10G PON or higher speed ports. 50G PON ports will achieve a scale of tens of thousands. Deepen the construction of the "broadband frontier" and push for the integration between the "5G Embrace the Sea" action plan and the construction of the modern marine city in Shanghai. By 2027, it strives to build a complete "land-sea-air-space" integrated marine network and achieve high-quality coverage of 5G networks in near-sea routes and key sea areas.
