With Hang Seng Index Company seeking index expansion to better reflect the market structure, Bubble Mart is expected to become a hot candidate for inclusion in the Hang Seng Index in the upcoming quarterly review. Periscope Analytics founder Brian Freitas pointed out in a report that Bubble Mart's stock price has seen an astonishing increase in the past year, making it a potential candidate for inclusion in the Hang Seng Index. The stock's short positions are currently near lows. Bubble Mart's stock price has more than doubled since the beginning of this year. Several analysts also mentioned that biopharmaceutical giant BeiGene and Italian fashion brand Prada may also be included in the Hang Seng Index. Hang Seng Index Company will announce the results of the quarterly review on Friday, with any adjustments to the constituent stocks taking effect on June 9th. Although the index company plans to eventually expand the number of constituent stocks to 100, the results of the review announced in February this year maintained the number of constituent stocks at the current level. Only one company was added last year, bringing the total number of constituent stocks to 83.
