The report card of the foreign trade performance of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area is out! Imports and exports in the first four months amounted to 2.85 trillion yuan.

Today, it was learned from the Guangdong Customs Sub-administration of the General Administration of Customs that in the first four months of this year, the import and export trade of the nine mainland cities in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area has maintained a steady growth, with Guangdong's foreign trade acting as a "stabilizer". In the first four months, the import and export trade of the nine mainland cities in the Greater Bay Area reached 2.85 trillion yuan, an increase of 5.4%, which is 0.5 percentage points higher than the overall growth rate of Guangdong, accounting for 96.4% of the total import and export value of Guangdong. The export of the nine mainland cities in the Greater Bay Area reached 1.8 trillion yuan, an increase of 2.3%. Among them, the main export commodities such as computers and their parts, electrical equipment, household appliances, and integrated circuits increased by 18%, 16%, 3.1%, and 17.8% respectively. The exports of the "new three items" and motorcycles achieved rapid growth, with increases of 40.4% and 43.2% respectively. The import of the nine mainland cities in the Greater Bay Area reached 1.05 trillion yuan, an increase of 11.1%. Among them, the import of integrated circuits was 390.65 billion yuan, an increase of 14.4%, accounting for 37.1% of the total import value of the nine mainland cities in the Greater Bay Area. The import of semiconductor manufacturing equipment and computers and their parts grew rapidly, with increases of 68.8% and 124.2% respectively. Imports of some consumer goods such as seafood, dairy products, beauty and cosmetic products, and personal care products have good demand, with increases of 19.7%, 27.5%, and 22.1% respectively.
