The U.S. Department of Energy has announced the first step in the largest regulatory rollback in the Department's history, proposing to eliminate or reduce 47 regulations that increase costs and lower the quality of life for the American people. Once finalized, these actions are expected to save Americans approximately $11 billion. These 47 actions include proposals to eliminate or modify dozens of consumer appliance standards, regulations limiting construction and energy production, as well as unscientific DEI requirements for grant recipients.
