The Public Security Bureau of Juancheng County, Shandong Province released a police report on the evening of May 12th, stating that at around 14:13 on the 12th, a traffic accident occurred at the intersection of Chenwang Road and Huaihe Street in Juancheng County, resulting in 4 deaths and 2 injuries. According to the preliminary investigation by local police, the cause of the accident was a collision between a 58-year-old male resident named Chen driving a small sedan and an electric bicycle running a red light, followed by collisions with two pedal tricycles on the roadside. Currently, Chen has been taken into custody by the police, ruling out drunk or drugged driving. Chen and another injured person are receiving medical treatment in the hospital and are not in life-threatening condition. Work on treating the injured, investigating the accident, and carrying out post-accident measures is ongoing.
