Chairman of the China Electricity Council, Xin Bao'an: Building a Latin American energy internet has vast prospects and great potential for energy cooperation between China and Hong Kong.

On May 12th, the Global Energy Interconnection Development and Cooperation Organization signed a cooperation intention agreement with the Honduran Ministry of Energy. The two sides will collaborate on system planning, renewable energy technology innovation, energy storage, electric transportation, and other areas to support Honduras in its energy and power development and transformation. This cooperation aims to deepen and solidify the cooperation between China and Honduras and China and Latin America. Xing Baoan stated that the organization is willing to actively play the role of think tank and platform to support Honduras in building an energy interconnection and accelerate green and low-carbon energy development through joint research, project collaboration, and capacity building.
