New progress has been made in the research on optoelectronic synaptic devices at Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics.

Reporters learned from the Changchun Institute of Optics, Fine Mechanics and Physics of the Chinese Academy of Sciences that researchers at the institute have developed a type of UV photoelectric synaptic device and a photoelectric synaptic transistor. These two achievements respectively provide new technological pathways for the development of advanced artificial visual systems and neural morphological computing vision. The UV photoelectric synaptic device was successfully developed by a research team led by Li Dabing and Sun Xiaojuan, researchers from the National Key Laboratory of Special Light Science and Technology at the Changchun Institute of Optics.
