Nvidia has notified Chinese customers that it plans to launch a modified version of the H20 chip in July.
According to a report on the website of Singapore's Lianhe Zaobao on May 9, about a month after the US government imposed export restrictions on Nvidia's H20 artificial intelligence chip, Nvidia reportedly plans to launch a downgraded version of the H20 for the Chinese market in the next two months. Reuters reported on May 9, citing three sources, that Nvidia has informed its major Chinese customers, including giants in the cloud computing field, that it plans to launch a modified version of the H20 chip in July. According to reports, Nvidia has set new technical thresholds to guide the design of the modified version of the chip.
