New York gold futures rose by 0.8%, while the Philadelphia Gold and Silver Index closed up more than 3.4%
On Friday, the New York closing, spot gold rose by 0.64% to $3326.18 per ounce, accumulating a 2.70% increase for the week. Gold continued to oscillate smoothly and rise from Monday to Tuesday, opening at $3435.62 on May 7 in the Asia-Pacific session and gradually giving back gains. COMEX gold futures rose by 0.82% to $3333.00 per ounce, accumulating a 2.80% increase for the week, opening at $3448.20 in the Asia-Pacific session on May 7. The Philadelphia Gold and Silver Index closed up 3.44% at 192.50 points, accumulating a 7.31% increase for the week. Silver rose by 0.86% to $32.7437 per ounce, accumulating a 2.23% increase for the week. COMEX silver futures rose by 0.84% to $32.890 per ounce, accumulating a 1.94% increase for the week. COMEX copper futures rose by 1.10% to $4.6545 per pound, accumulating a 0.92% decrease for the week.
