Tesla Cybertruck owners can no longer purchase the extended range battery pack for $16,000. A Tesla customer service representative confirmed to the media that the accessory has been discontinued, and users who had previously paid a $2,000 deposit have received a refund. Originally, this additional battery was set to be released in mid-2025 and would take up one-third of the cargo space in the Cybertruck. Tesla postponed the launch of the Cybertruck extended range battery pack in October, after reducing the estimated range by 40 kilometers, ultimately deciding to cancel the accessory. Speculations about further delays began last month when Tesla removed the battery pack from the Cybertruck's online configurator. Additionally, a recall application dated March 20 showed that Tesla had delivered less than 50,000 Cybertrucks. Reports also suggest that Tesla has reduced production of this pickup truck.
