Jiangxi issues orange alert for strong winds, thunderstorms and strong winds expected in Jiujiang and Yichun.

On May 8, 2025 at 9:31 am, the Jiangxi Provincial Meteorological Observatory issued an orange alert for strong winds: It is expected that in the next 2 hours, some areas in the western part of Jiujiang City and the northern part of Yichun City will experience severe thunderstorms with winds of level 10-12, accompanied by strong lightning. Local areas may also experience short periods of heavy rainfall and hail, and other severe convective weather. Please take precautions.
