The appeal of the Federal Trade Commission in the US was rejected, and Microsoft's $6.9 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard won the lawsuit.
On May 7th local time, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) in the United States failed to appeal the decision of the rejection of Microsoft's $6.9 billion acquisition of Activision Blizzard. The appellate court upheld the dismissal of the ruling. In 2023, the FTC requested a preliminary injunction to block the two companies from completing the transaction. The district court judge rejected the FTC's request, and as the second order after the ruling was issued, the FTC filed an appeal.
