Jingzhou Meteorological Bureau in Hubei Province upgraded and issued a red rainstorm warning signal at 7:02 am on May 8, 2025: In the past hour, the rainfall at Shishou Tuanshan Station and Liuhu Mountain Station reached 50 millimeters. Currently, strong rainfall clouds continue to affect the southern part of Shishou, and it is expected that in the next 3 hours, the southern townships of Shishou will still have rainfall of over 50 millimeters, with the maximum hourly rainfall intensity reaching 30-50 millimeters, accompanied by thunderstorms, gusts of wind at level 6-8, and high risks of urban and rural heavy rain accumulation, flooding of small and medium-sized rivers.
