Uber makes a significant investment in Wenyuan Zhixing, committing to an additional $100 million in equity investment in Wenyuan Zhixing.

On May 7th, Wenyuan Zhihang updated its public information, disclosing Uber's latest investment in the company: Uber has pledged to add an additional $100 million in equity investment to Wenyuan Zhihang on top of its existing investment. It is understood that this is Uber's largest investment in the field of autonomous driving to date. This investment will be completed in the coming months at a time chosen by Wenyuan. Currently, Uber and Wenyuan Zhihang jointly operate the largest Robotaxi fleet outside of the Chinese and American markets. On May 6th, the two parties jointly announced plans to deploy Robotaxi in 15 additional cities in the next 5 years, including international markets such as Europe and the Middle East. The fleet is expected to reach a scale of hundreds of thousands.
