Chinese company undertakes the construction of the Kazakhstan asphalt plant expansion and transformation project, which has been officially put into production.

The commencement ceremony of the capacity expansion and upgrading project of the Caspian Sea Asphalt Plant in Kazakhstan was held in the western city of Aktau on the 5th. The Caspian Sea Asphalt Plant was constructed by China CITIC Construction Co., Ltd. The annual processing capacity of crude oil has been increased from 1 million tons to 1.5 million tons after the renovation, and the annual asphalt production has increased from 500,000 tons to 750,000 tons. This will effectively alleviate the shortage of road asphalt needed for infrastructure construction in Kazakhstan, and become another practical cooperation achievement in the joint construction of the "Belt and Road" between China and Kazakhstan.
