On May 5th local time, Spanish Third Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, Agson, stated in an interview that investigations revealed three power outages in the Spanish electricity system before the nationwide blackout on April 28th, with the third outage occurring 19 seconds before the blackout. Agson mentioned that a committee will analyze the accidents to determine the cause of the blackout and take all necessary measures to prevent such incidents from happening again.
