The Guizhou Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government quickly organized and carried out the rescue work of the capsized tourist boat in Qianxi City.

On May 4th, at around 16:40, a sudden strong wind caused a tourist boat to overturn in the Sixchong River of the Baili Gallery Scenic Area in Xinren Township, Qianxi City, Bijie City. As of now, the accident has resulted in 3 deaths, with 60 people receiving medical treatment and another 14 people still being searched and rescued. Upon receiving the report, Xu Lin, the Secretary of the Guizhou Provincial Party Committee, Li Bingjun, the Governor, and other provincial leaders immediately rushed to the scene of the accident to command emergency response and rescue work, emphasizing the priority of saving lives and the importance of rescuing the missing individuals as quickly as possible. They are also ensuring that the rescue operations are conducted scientifically and safely. High-quality medical resources are being mobilized to treat the injured, and proper arrangements are being made for the deceased and comforting their families. Currently, various rescue and relief efforts are ongoing.
