ADB: Support for food security will reach $40 billion by 2030.

On May 4th, the Asian Development Bank announced a series of plans to expand its support in the long-term food and nutrition security field in the Asia-Pacific region by $26 billion, bringing the total funding for the food security initiative from 2022 to 2030 to $40 billion. The additional $26 billion in funding announced today will consist of $18.5 billion directly supporting relevant governments and $7.5 billion going towards the private sector. The aid funds will be used for a comprehensive plan covering the entire process of food production from planting, processing, distribution, to consumption.
