The Hong Kong Golden Bauhinia Square held a flag-raising ceremony on May 4th.

On May 4th, the Hong Kong Youth Activities Committee held the "Commemoration of the 80th Anniversary of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War Victory at the Golden Bauhinia Square Flag-raising Ceremony 2025" event. Approximately 1200 students from different youth uniform groups attended the event to deepen their sense of patriotism and responsibility towards the country. The event began with the "March of the Volunteers", with the Chinese national flag and the Bauhinia flag raised simultaneously, and the audience stood solemnly singing the national anthem. The event also invited 3 elderly veterans of the Dongjiang Column Hong Kong Regional Anti-Japanese Guerrilla Forces to witness this historic moment together.
